Farewell Ferengistan

I picked up Banco de Gaia's latest effort at lunch time a couple of days ago. I just happened to be in Fopp and noticed it while having a quick browse. I didn't even know there was a new Banco de Gaia album out, so I picked it up without a second thought. I've listened to it a couple of times and it's really good, definitely better than his last effort in my opinion. This means I'm still missing one album from my collection, Live at Glastonbury. I'm quite tempted to buy it on-line with some of his CD singles and complete my collection.

Thieving C***s

Some thieving wanker has cloned one of my debit cards and emptied my account. The matter is now with the banks fraud department and I should be getting a letter in the next few days. Hopefully I'll get the money back as no doubt the goods that have been bought were all sent to addresses other than mine, so it should be quite easy to prove it wasn't me.

I noticed it on Saturday morning when the cash point wouldn't give me any money, even though I knew there was hundreds available. I looked at my account online and noticed a few odd transactions, so I phoned the bank and canceled my card and disputed the transactions. There were only three dodgey transactions on the account on Saturday, but another three have turned up today and I'm expecting at least three more tomorrow.

It's a total pain in the arse, but it's amazing how many people it appears to have happened to. You mention it to someone and it's either happened to them, or to someone they know. I'm not a particularly happy camper at the moment.
